SelectBlinds is turning 20 this year! We appreciate everyone who’s been part of our journey over the last two decades. Since 2003, our team has grown to 100+ people, we’ve moved headquarters, developed new partnerships and more! With this milestone, we couldn’t help but take a walk down memory lane…

Our Timeline

2003 – SelectBlinds started with our founder Rick Steele’s quest to find blackout shades for his daughter’s bedroom.

2007 – SelectBlinds ranks on the Inc. 500’s “America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies” list, landing the No. 373 spot.

2008 – SelectBlinds ranks at No. 287 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, thanks to a 33% growth in sales. Our products are featured on popular television shows and networks, including ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

2009 – SelectBlinds appears on the Inc. 5000’s “Fastest-Growing Companies in America” list, coming in at No. 815 with a three-year growth rate of 362 percent.

2014 – SelectBlinds ranks No. 3 for the “Best Places to Work” (small-sized company) by the Phoenix Business Journal.

2015 – SelectBlinds announces a “free cord cleats” initiative and donates more than 82,000 window covering “cord cleats” to families with children.

2016 – To recognize SelectBlinds’ stance to make all its products available with a kid-friendly cordless lift system, our founder, Rick Steele, was given the 2016 Humanitarian Award from Harvard Business School’s Business Expert Forum.

2019 – SelectBlinds wins “Best of Show” in the Deseret News Home Show, as well as “Rookie of the Year” in the North Atlanta Home Show.

2020 – SelectBlinds rates as one of the Best Online Shops: 2020 by Newsweek magazine.

2021The New York Times’ Wirecutter reviews SelectBlinds’ Classic Cordless Blackout Shades as “The Best Blackout Shades of 2021.”

2022 – SelectBlinds rates as one of the Best Online Shops: 2022 by Newsweek magazine.

2023 – SelectBlinds launches its first Big Game commercial, Love is Blinds, in the Phoenix Valley, and several products are featured in season 2 of HGTV’s Married to Real Estate.
