Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eradicating poverty houses and helping to create affordable, simple, and quality homes for those in need. They’ve helped people in 74 different countries, and counting.
SelectBlinds has had a wonderful opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity in their mission. Because of our guarantee, customers send back their custom blinds and shades because they measured incorrectly or the color wasn’t what they wanted. Here at SelectBlinds, we guarantee a product that’s custom-made. In an effort to give back to the community and for our products to find a home, we donate our returned products to Habitat for Humanity. It has given us a new way to help those who need it most.
Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore sells our donated products to the public if they can’t fit them into a home. The money they earn they put back into their original mission: to provide affordable and safe homes. This also keeps all these returned products out of landfills.
We’re honored to be able to help Habitat for Humanity the way we have, and we’re happy that it has made a difference. In 2013 alone, Habitat for Humanity has helped 124,946 families.
