1) 2″ SelectWave Cordless Faux Wood Blinds
While this is the top window covering on our blackout features page, these 2″ SelectWave Cordless Faux Wood Blinds are technically more room-darkening since light will show in between the slats. However, the “S” wave-shaped slats are designed to seal tight for maximum room darkening when closed compared to traditional blinds. This is a good choice if you still want natural light during the day without having to completely raise the shade up.
“Ordered these blinds rather than buying blinds close to the right size from box stores. Delivery was quick, product is very well made, easy to install and an outstanding value. Couldn’t be more pleased!”

2) Classic Vinyl Blackout Roller Shades
Available in popular neutrals and solid tones, these Classic Vinyl Blackout Roller Shades work with a variety of interior styles and decors. The Fab Five from Netflix’s Queer Eye even chose them for one of their makeovers! They’re made of flame retardant vinyl fiberglass and laminated with another layer of vinyl for extra strength and durability.
“The prices are outrageous everywhere else but here. I didn’t have high expectations given how affordable they are, but these turned out great! They are easy to install [and] easy to use. They look neat and attractive, and they really darken the room.”

3) Cordless Blackout Cellular Shades
Rated the best blackout shade by Wirecutter, our Cordless Blackout Cellular Shades are perfectly suited for rooms where sleep is a priority. The energy-efficient, 3/4″ single-cell pleats help you save on heating and cooling costs. They even act as a buffer to outside noise, so you can really get some peace and quiet!
“I almost never take the time to write reviews…but these are THAT good. The windows were making it difficult for our A/C to keep the house cold. We ordered these to try to help, and I could not be happier. The fit is perfect, installation is stupid easy, and they work fantastic for helping to regulate temperature.”

4) Classic Roman Shades
Classic Roman Shades are a simple way to elevate your windows. They come unlined so be sure to add the blackout liner! For a modern look, choose a pleated fold, or choose a soft fold for a more traditional look; however, the soft fold is best for solid colors and isn’t ideal for patterns.
“I love my new shades; the quality is excellent. Love all the choices and options. The construction is excellent. The motorized shades work very well. Easy to install; the fabric is linen and gorgeous. I was blown away.”
