Today, we’re going to be talking about sheer shades. Sheer shades are commonly considered one of the more elegant types of window coverings because of the soft flowing veins and nice sheer look that you get when they’re fully lowered.
I currently have the sheer shade behind me in the fully lowered position, which is where you’ll see the sheer part of them. But if you want to gain some privacy, it’s as simple as bringing the shade up some and stopping it there, and then you now have a solid shade where you could see a bit more of that color and like I said, get privacy. Or if you have the room darkening version, block out some of that light.
Most of the sheer shades on our website will actually have the same color between light filtering and room darkening. So you can really customize the light control that you want per room while maintaining the same visual look throughout the entire home.
To go along with that color coordination between light filtering and room darkening, our Luxe Modern Sheer Shades, which is what I have behind me, will also coordinate with our Luxe Modern Cellular Shades and Luxe Modern Roller Shades.
Our sheer shades on our website will come in three different sizes. What I have behind me here is a 3″ sheer shade, which is referring to the vein size that you see here. We also have 2 and 1/2″ and 2″. There’s no real functional difference between any of the three sizes. It all just comes down to personal preference and window size.
Because of the complexity in the way that sheer shades operate internally, they can be a bit more of an investment into your home. So if you run across any questions or anything as you’re taking a look at them, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Design Consultant Team where they’d be more than happy to help answer any questions you might have.
That’s all for this week’s Behind the Blinds. I’m Brandon. See you next week!
