Today we’re going to be talking about mini blinds, or “aluminum blinds,” as you may have seen them called. A lot of people tend to think that they’re the default option when it comes to window coverings, but they definitely have their strong suits.
Mini blinds can be a great option if you’re working within a tighter budget. Just because they’re on the more inexpensive side, doesn’t mean that you’re sacrificing too much quality.
Because they’re made of metal, they are incredibly durable, and they’re a great option for a rental property or somewhere with lots of very high traffic where the blinds are going to be opened and closed very frequently.
Again, because they’re made of metal, they don’t have the same kind of fabric color constraints as some other window coverings. They come in a lot of colors because pretty much any paint color can be applied to them. They also have lots of different variations in terms of lift styles, Cordless being the primary one, as well as different headrail styles.
If you’re going for different kinds of looks, you’ll find two different gauges of mini blinds advertised on our website. We offer both six gauge and eight gauge. Six gauge is going to be a little bit thinner, whereas an eight gauge will be a little bit thicker and a bit more durable.
Even though mini blinds can be seen as a pretty simple window covering, there are still lots of little fine
differences between them all. So if you find yourself getting overwhelmed at any point, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Design Consultant Team, and they’ll be more than happy to help answer any questions you might have.
That’s all for this week’s episode of Behind the Blinds. My name is Brandon. See you next week!
