Roman shades are usually available unlined or with a standard or blackout liner. To allow natural light to enter the living room, we’d recommend choosing either a standard liner or leave the shade unlined. Ordering samples is the best way to see how much light shines through the color and fabric you choose. Plus, you can see how transparent the fabric is and decide if adding a liner is worth it.
