Meet the 20 Featured Designers of the 2018 Fall One Room Challenge

Welcome back to Part II of the Fall 2018 One Room Challenge (ORC) reveals! (Catch up with Part I here) So excited to share the inspired transformations by these three incredible Featured Designers. Read their blogs to get all the details on how they did it from scratch to finish. So, without further ado, prepare to be blown away!

Erin Kestenbaum: Master Bedroom

Before: A classic 1940’s Colonial
After: Fresh colonial blues and grays and multiple textures are layered
together to maintain the timelessness of this new masterful master.
Obsessed is not the word for the window seat (or the color) in the closet,
topped by our Premier Modern Natural Woven Wood Shades in Half Moon Bay.
Erin also added them above the custom radiator cover her husband built (left).

Kelly GoLightly: Kaylee’s Tween Dream Bedroom

Before Kaylee’s closet looked like mine (I have a step-stool, too), but watch Mom Kelly work her
magic in a soft, sophisticated palette of grown-up hues with sleek surfaces and fun finishes.
And after. Audrey would be proud
Serious closet envy. More than a tween’s dream, wallpaper and gold disco ball I’d die for.

Style Me Pretty (Erin Lepperd): East Coast Classic Meets West Coast Cool Dining Room

Before: Bye-bye, pale yellow walls!

After: Hello, New England coastal cottage!

Erin paired our Premier Woven Wood Shades in Fiji Bleached White
with Faded French Stripe curtain panels for a casual, coastal vibe.
19th Century English schoolhouse side chairs are topped with
sheepskin chair pads for a cozy twist on these antique classics.

We were thrilled to work with six of the ORC designers featured this fall, as well as two Guest Participants, Emily and Ola. Can’t wait to see what they do next spring!

Emily Dahl (la casa, la selva): Brothers’ Hyggeligt Bedroom

After Emily added a little brotherly love
(and our Signature Blackout Roman Shades in Fern) to the space.

decor before the finishing touches were added to her One Room Challenge entry.
After: The combined 300 sf “Keeping Room” blends Ola’s love of art, music and family.
Keeping our zebra-style Traditional Light-Filtering Dual Shades (in Ivory)
on the sliding doors in the dining area was a bold choice that worked out beautifully.
Ola’s finished dining area is totally rejuvenated after her One Room Challenge makeover!
Family photos, treasures and memories are prominently displayed.
